In 1982, American David Palmer began experimenting on people with sequences of Amma massage (traditional Japanese massage), placing them in a seated position, on a chair, rather than lying on a table.
In 1986, with the help of a French cabinet-maker, he developed an ergonomic massage chair.
This practical and comfortable chair makes it easy to practise massage anywhere and is suitable for everyone. A 15 to 20 minute session of Amma massage is enough to induce wellbeing, to rebalance energy and to restore vibrancy that will last throughout the day.
Across the Atlantic you will see it in airports, train stations, public spaces and other tourist sites. But let’s talk about what matters to us: business massage!
What’s the benefit?
Amma literally means “calm with the hands”.
Aside from the innumerable proven health benefits, both mental and physical, Amma massage in business can provide much more than you might think. Moreover, it provides:
- An increase in individual creativity, perception, concentration, effectiveness and availability.
- An improved image of management.
- An increase in motivation (“management takes care of me”), and therefore involvement in the company.
- An increase in the feeling of belonging to the company.
- And as a side effect, a reduction in absenteeism is observed.
As you will see… Investing in wellbeing and fulfillment at work through Amma massage will have the immediate effect of improving company image, both internally and externally.
Taking care of employees increases the feeling of belonging to the company and encourages people to invest more in its financial goals.
Promoting stress prevention and supporting employee wellbeing significantly increases performance!
What if we put people at the centre of every business project?
Employees and workers are the foundation, the very basis of profitability! Nothing is possible without them.
